Moving unstructured data is not only a copy operation. Applications, permissions, metadata, active changes, and user expectations must all remain coherent throughout the transition.

Discover before you move

Classify data by owner, age, access frequency, application, security, and retention. This prevents obsolete or unowned content from dictating the new architecture.

Separate bulk copy from change capture

A baseline migration moves most bytes while the source remains online. Incremental synchronization then captures changes until validation is complete and the final cutover window is small.

Validate business behavior

Checksums prove file integrity, but users also need permissions, paths or gateways, performance, and application behavior to work. A representative pilot should test the complete workflow.
